Hangover Helper

With Silly Season in full swing, we’ll all need a hangover tip or two. So we thought it'd be rude not to share our top hangover cures with you all.

Besides all of the basic things; drinking your body weight in water, sleeping it off, and a greasy Uber Eats, here are our hot tips:

Vitamin Sea

The last thing you probably want to do is go outside, but if you can muster the energy to do so, we recommend getting outside for an ocean swim. Backed by heaps of science, swimming outdoors provides a healthy shock to your system, exactly what your body needs after a big one. Our founder, Tania, and her swimming group swear by an ocean dip, especially to chase a hangover away.

Pickle juice

Now this one sounds odd, we know. We put the weirdness aside and gave it a try, and can confirm that it works. It may not be as backed by science as ocean swimming, but some research suggests the juice of pickles contains minerals that help replenish any electrolytes lost after a night of drinking. Try getting some pickle juice from your local health food store, or jump onto Amazon. Try 2-3 tablespoons, it packs a punch.

Hair of the dog

Sometimes you have to bite the bullet and admit defeat. If all else fails, the hair of the dog will sort you out. We don’t mean literal dog hair, more so having another drink. This recommendation isn't backed by science, but the myth is as follows; boosting your alcohol levels again boosts endorphins, meaning the symptoms of your hangover disappear. We recommend a bloody mary, it’ll keep that hangover at bay.

So cheers to feeling better (until next time)!
